DISCOVERY FLIGHTS

Place your hands on the flight controls of the helicopter and hang on. Take flight with one of our certified flight instructors and experience a one-on-one lesson with the ability to operate a helicopter for the first time.

When you finish, you will be able to log your first, official 30 minutes of helicopter flight training. Get ready to experience the incredible views that our helicopter pilots experience every day — while beginning the adventure of a lifetime.

Each discovery flight includes:

1. Program Overview
   We will start by learning about your previous experience with helicopters and your interest in doing a Discovery Flight with us. We will also outline our flight training program and our direct and degree-rewarding options, if relevant to your situation.

2. 1 Hour Ground Instruction
   Then you will go through awareness training where you will learn about energy management, mast bumping, low rotor RPM, low gravity hazards, and rotor RPM decay.

3. 1/2 Hour Flight Instruction
   Your instructor will cover the basics of a through-flight inspection, radio calls, hovering, traffic patterns with you, as well as provide an autorotation demonstration.

4. Q&A
   After your flight, you will have the opportunity to go over any questions you may have and discuss the next steps if interested in pursuing our program.
